I would like to wish the committee, players and fans of Wroxham all the very best in the vase final. If you could organise a humiliation of our sewer residing neighbours, we would all be very grateful. Their recent form has dipped hugely and confidence can not be high.
Get into them lads!
Good Luck
Red Mist and all the North Shields Ultras.

Oh dear, what a sad person. Do you have jealous neighbours in Norfolk?
For the record, North Shields, which is just three miles from Whitley Bay, play in the division below us and with several ex Whitley players in their squad, including their manager, they have had their best season for many years.
Unlike redmist, these North Shields players are backing Whitley and some will be travelling to Wembley to support us.

"For the record" North Shields FC are the biggest club in the Northern League. Check your history books gentlemen. Once again - all the best in the final Wroxham.

North Shields were only formed in 1992 ,and play on a converted School field , with some of the poorest facilities seen in The Northern league
Red Mist has neglected Bishop Auklands fine history
North Shields is famous for being close to Whitley Bay and for Riots in The Meadowell Estate Sept 1991

I have had a look at the history of the northern league and in north shields history they have had two spells in the northern leaguel. Thet have won the league once and the league cup twice in their first spell and in their second spell they have never got out of the second division. There are a few clubs who have won a lot more trophies then north shields.to me bishop auckland over the years have had the most success than anybody so they in my opinion are the top club.

Fair enough Cromer, but Bishop Auckland's glory days were way back in the 1950's and early 60's. At that time they were the best amateur team in the country. Times have changed and in recent seasons they have struggled and have had to ground share with neighbouring teams. Since they were relegated back to the Northern League their record against Whitley is Played 8 Lost 8 Goals scored 6 Goals conceded 37 We put seven past them home and away this season and they've finished mid table. We've been through bad times as well, but over the last eight years it's fair to say that our record has been pretty impressive.

That is really good over the last fews years. I made my assumption over all the northern league seasons. However one thing for sure whichever team is the biggist in the northern league it is not north shields.

Have a look at north Shields achievements in 1969 - Amatour FA and European cup. Shields are undoubtedly the biggest team in the Northern League. (Bishop Auckland are not bad mind).
Don't believe the Whitley Bay hype Wroxham - you are up against a mediocre 1st division side who have finished the season badly. I can't wait to hear our glory hunting neighbours trotting out their excuses for defeat.

To be fair, it looks to me like the majority of replies to your post are from supporters of the Northern League, who know you are wrong! North Shields FC have songs that slate Whitley Bay, but to be honest, Whitley Bay couldn't really care less what North Shields do. If they ever get promotion, then they will get the beating they deserve, twice a season, on the pitch!!! Wroxham, (If you are there!)I hope we all have a great day out at Wembley. Good luck whatever the outcome

Shields achievements are now over 40 years ago , (good that they were ,) If you read Northern Ventures book it states that the European cup was shared ......... What have Shields achieved recently All that you are doing is making yourself look a very silly little boy on daddy's computer , Our local rivals are now Benfield and West Allotment , not Shields , its like Bay suggesting are nearest and dearest rivals are Blyth , a team we havent played on a regular basis in 20 years, Hope Wroxham enjoy Wembley as much as we did last year ;D

I am sure the wroxham fans will enjoy watching their team at wembley.and may meet some of the whitley bay fans who have posted on here. I presume the idiot from north shields will not be there. He must be very bitter to come on another teams website to slag off one of his local teams who have reached a national final at wembley.

I've been lucky to have been at the last two Vase finals in glorious sunshine - First was Fylde v Lowestoft where I was green with envy , quite sureal sitting in the sun behind the goal having a picnic at Wembley Last year was fantastic , walking up Wembley way with my wife , 5 year old son and my dad - it's what every fan wants ( apart from the ability to actually play there) The atmosphere at both games was good humoured so you'll enjoy it I believe Bay fans will be going to Globe and Metropolitan on Baker Street and Green Man Dagmar Street amongst others - we're a friendly bunch ;D

Anyone who knows me will realise my comments are tongue in cheek, however, I am pleased my post has got you all talking, it was very quiet. Have fun on Sunday - I'm still supporting Wroxham mind!
