I would like to thank everybody at the club for all their hard work in preperation for Wembly (ticket sales, coaches, merchandising, etc) Shame about the result but it was still a memorable day out. Thanks once again your efforts are appreciated.

Yes well said! A big well done and thank you to the management team as I know a tremendous amount of hard work went in off the pitch in order for us all to enjoy the day. And also not forgetting the players who have provided us supporters with, not only a day at Wembley to remember, but a great and exciting journey through the various rounds. It's been tremendous!

Obviously we are all disappointed with the result but whoever would have expected us to be in the final? 512 teams started in the competition and 510 must be more more disappointed than we are! Sometimes runners-up are forgotten completely but for a while we should be remembered in pub quizzes for at least two questions: i) What was the fastest goal scored in a Wembley Vase Final? ii) What was the highest winning margin in a Wembley Vase Final?
But looking ahead we must pick ourselves up from this set-back and look forward to next season. We have had some excellent support for both the semi-final with Whitehawk and the final with Whitley Bay. I hope that some of those who attended will want to continue to support The Yachtsmen next season.
Also as this topic suggests, it took a tremendous amount of hard work behind the scenes by some of the club stalwarts to prepare for the final. For some of us it was completely draining and we could do with a rest! Unfortunately the rest for some will be permanent as they have contributed all they can to the club and age has caught up with them.
May I therefore make this plea that if anyone can help the club in any capacity or financially, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT. Please contact me on my home Tel No 01603 783936 or email me at secretary@wroxhamfc.com
