Is'nt it rather odd that even when Wroxham get a convincing win there is still no match report...come on as a 'leading' Norfolk club perhaps you can do better?

Wroxham 9, Debenham LC 1 Ridgeons League Premier Division Tuesday 21st September 2010
Referee : Shon Meale (South Burlingham) Attendance : 65 No one at the start of this game could have imagined the way it was to turn out, least of all the very small crowd of Wroxham supporters. Those who didn’t turn out last night missed a great performance by an on fire home side. The game started slowly with the first real chance falling to Debenham when a corner was sent right across the Wroxham goal but fell just in front of the attacking players to be cleared by Challen. Then the home side began to get the advantage and a good cross from Durrant was headed down by Hilton to the feet of Jordan who saw his shot go wide of the post. A nice move but unfortunately not a great finish. Then Lemmon forced his way powerfully past the defence only to have his shot parried by the keeper and when he got the rebound the keeper again cleared his effort. On the 12th minute Lemmon put in a beautiful free kick from the left side and Josh Carus glanced the ball past the keeper to take the lead for Wroxham. The home side continued to push forward and both Langlois and Lemmon were unlucky to see their efforts saved by Vincent. From the clearance of one attack Debenham broke down the wing and Cannon was fouled on the by-line to give a free kick. This was floated into the penalty area where Steve French rose to send the ball back across the goal mouth past Howie. The game continued with Wroxham pressing forward with some great passes from Lemmon to release both Langlois and King on runs but eventually the ball came out to Matty Daniels who sent a looping shot over the head of Ben Vincent to restore the lead. In the second half Wroxham continued to attack and there was some really nice play from Hilton who showed great skill in trapping a long pass into the box from Carus, but was unable to convert it. Then he received the ball after a break by Langlois and hit a terrific shot that rebounded of the upright. Wroxham were well on top by this stage with Debenham making breaks but being unable to get past the defence and having to take long shots that went either wide or over the bar. On the 60th minute Hilton returned the favour for Claudio Langlois with a lovely cross from the left that Claudio headed straight past the diving keeper. The next action saw a corner from Lemmon headed back to Shaun Thorrold by Challen and then a foul being given for a tackle on Lemmon. From the free kick the ball broke clear to Ross Durrant who carried the ball for 15 yards past a defender and shot from 25yards out into the back of the Debenham goal. A brilliant effort by Durrant who is not afraid to take his chances and shoot. Both sides made several changes and when Cook was brought on he immediately began to make his presence felt. First he had a header from a Carus cross saved by the keeper and then put a strong header just wide. Then he was fouled in the area and the resulting penalty was slotted to the keeper’s right by Owen Paynter. Even though the score was now 5-1 Debenham continued to try and go forward but to no avail. Then following a mistake by Gooderham the ball fell to Paul Cook who waltzed past a stranded keeper to side foot the ball into an empty net. Minutes later Langlois was brought down in the area, for about the 6th time, and this time a penalty was given. Up stepped Paynter and this time put the ball to the keepers left. As the game was drawing to an end Durrant let loose with another thunderbolt shot from outside the area which took a slight deflection off Gooderham to fly into the top right hand corner of the net. This seemed like the end as Debenham were totally downhearted by now but to rub salt into the wound Paynter hit a shot from close range that unfortunate Gooderham despairingly tried to stop but only managed to put into his own net but the goal was awareded to Paynter to complete his hat-trick. So a great result for Wroxham and the best score seen at Trafford Park for a while. FT : Wroxham 9, Debenham LC 1

Please remember, we are all volunteers here! I had the score on the website last night plus the teams and scorers. One of my colleagues agreed to do the match report for the website and provide a brief report for the EDP. I read the latter at 7.00 this morning but because of other committments the full website report wasn't available until 12.32 today - I think some people have to work for a living. The report as shown above was added soon after. It would be great if we had someone willing/able to produce match reports home and away. Any volunteers?

No instant match report.......what a sham!!!! Oh well maybe if people turned up to watch then they wouldn't need to moan about how long it took to put the report online!
