Witnessed a much more competitive encounter than the home match against Diss. Yes, Diss were pretty unlucky not to get something out of the game, but I thought that we dominated large parts of it. I was particularly impressed with how sharp we looked coming off the F.A.Cup disappointment at Dover. Our ball-winning and tackling was first rate and our close interpassing and ball retention stood out for me, especially in the last 5 or 10 minutes when we frustrated Diss who could hardly get a touch of the ball. Mention was made in the match report of Durrant's dazzling run at the end, but I would also praise Matty Daniels for a similar one as well as a fine overall match. Some might claim it was a classic case of "winning ugly", but it was vital to 'stop the rot' after the two previous league defeats.

Sometimes you have to take a scrappy win whether you deserve it or not, if we play like we did in the first half of the Dover game then we are unstoppable.
