Having attended last nights game as a local supporter and a neutral party to both sides last night, I have to question what game Chris Green was watching... not only is his account very biased, but he even got his own sides goalscorers in the wrong order (Aaron Sanders actually scored wroxhams second, between two Ben Jone efforts). Furthermore to say Cromers penalty was dubious is very harsh on the referee as of Anything he let Wroxham off by ony booking Wengrew when he seemed destined to see red. Overall however, I feel it was an excellent game of football with both teams aiding the cause and having a real good... Particularly both sides skippers who were in a constant battle with one another, and one which the Anglian combination sides skipper Just edged with 2 goals and an assist for his side! I look forward to seeing Cromers account of things on their website and especially to the return leg if I can make time to go and watch! Any news on when this will be? Well done Wroxham and Cromer for a truly passionate game of football!

Quite agree Mr Neutral. I thought it was nothing more than a good old passionate game of football with no quarter given from either side. Wroxham i felt dominated possession at times and made some good attacks down the flanks ( both 15 yr olds i believe) unfortunately the finishing wasn't quite as good as the build up play at times. Ben Jones led the team very well. As he generally does. The young ref dealt with the situations that arose reasonably well, and as you said yourself the Wroxham GK was indeed very fortunate to stay on the pitch. If the 18s push on and continue to play the style of football they played particularly in the 1st half, they'll certainly win more than they lose and be a good footballing/entertaining side to watch. Keep it going lads

As an FA official watching that game from the side-line, the referee handled the game extremely well! He was a young referee, and I feel on occassions the players abused this in areas, but what can you expect? This is football and theres always going to be decisions either side are not happy with. However, I do not agree with what you are saying in the matter of Wengrow being sent off. The ball was travelling away from goal, the incident, though given as a penalty, was outside of the area and there was one player in line with the attacker and another covering round towards the goal line. Very good decision in my eyes as I know a lot of people would of produced red, but with proper consideration of the factors, it was certainly a yellow.
On a brighter note, superb game! But with 9 Cromer men, Wroxham should of taken advantage! All credit to Cromer for holding on and battling on!
