Little bit out of order, blaming the 15's for the recent defeat at Gorleston. I think SOME of the 15s have done particularly well under the circumstances i.e thier age, the fact its the first time they've competed at this level. Give them a chance. It's more than can be said for some of the players that have been there for a season or 2 and can't even turn up for training. These are the players that the youngsters should be looking to for guidance when the going gets tough but invariably SOME of these, not by any means ALL of them, are the first to go missing in matches. The 18s need encouragement throughout, the more experienced ones being let off the hook by comments like " 15 yr olds were lightweight" doesnt help. The matches i've seen it certainly has not been the 15 yr olds who've let the side down.

"lightweight"
this is a word i used when phoning Chris Green the result on the way home, it is a fact because of their age not their football ability, i can assure you the boys were praised for their performance after the game by myself and the management team.
this is the youngest team wroxham has had for certainly the last ten years since i have been involved and all are available next year with a bit more weight and will without doubt be competing for the top spot.
if you are at the games you will know what mean by this but if you still disagree make yourself know to me and will try to explain.

I've not got a problem with the term "lightweight" and yes i agree some of the 15's as i said, were, agreed. But so were some of the lads older than that. And it just seemed to me that the 15s were shouldering most of the blame. Nothing more nothing less.

Defeat For U18's Wroxham U18's lost 4-0 to Gorleston tonight at Emerald Park. The Wroxham side was missing some of their more experienced players and included a numebr of 15 year olds who looked a bit lightweight but played some decent football.
The squad on Thursday was no different age wise to any other this season, the whole team bar one has 2 season to play after this current season so when i said lightweight i was referring to the whole team not individuals, the post above was a bit misleading which is my fault but as i said its a quick call on hands free on my way home, thanks for your interest in the under 18s and i would like to say i for one would never criticize this team regardless of the result. we are a home to yarmouth on thursday if you fancy it but of course you may be attending every game?

No worries Paul. It was never meant as a criticism to you or the faith you have in the u18s. As you said the report was a little misleading. Thanks for clearing it up.
