Disappointed with the quotes about Jordan and discipline, apparently cos of he's attitude in the reserve game and contact from other teams. Surely a player who has 13 goals in 10 starts, who continued to turn up when dropped after scoring the previous week is entitled to sulk abit when totally bombed from the biggest game of the season and will interest other teams by not playing!! The manager picks the team and cant argue considering the league table, but to publicly lie about players like he did Paul Cousins stating he left for money ( check his twitter) stinks of micky mouse management, lost a lot a respect, if you have something to say, say it or shut up.

couldn't agree more, the management don't tend to handle people well at all, bunch of big timers... what goes around comes around.

If the manager didnt rate him or wanted something else then that fine, a simple message stating he had been de registered would of been enough, if any statement was needed at all, many squad players have moved on without a mention, but to release a sinister post leaving people wondering whats he done, AFTER Jordan had informed the club he wished to leave is disgraceful, perhaps the club will be big enough to say.

From what i've seen, right through from U18s, Res and 1st team. IF YOU AIN'T IN THE CLIC, YOU AIN'T IN THE TEAM.

Agree 'observer', makes you wonder when one club's manager has a number of players on his book as employees whether they are there because they are good footballers or because they work with him and his assistants.

dont think there is much of a youth policy, not many young players have made it through in the last few years, 4 years ago when the youth team won the league cup most of the team played for Andy Bakers Lakeford side that won the Norfolk cup, and everything else, most had been involved with pro clubs including Liverpool and Man United, not one made it through to Wroxham 1st team regular, ok living for today but wonder where Wroxham's future is.

You don't think there is much of a youth policy?? Wroxham have 8 u18 players that are currently representing their county at youth level, more than any other club in the county. They also have 3 players that were part of the squad last year. These all play regularly in the reserve team and 1 or 2 have made it into first team e.g Ben jones / Jamie George. The reserves is made up of mostly youth players, with the hope of pushing players through. I watch most home games reserves and first. When watching the reserves, it is obviouse these are young talented lads who are getting valuable experience at senior level. I have spoke with some committee memebrs and they tell me the managers make sure they make the team up of mainly youth so they can push them on. This means results srent always fantastic, but they are looking like they are improving! Which is only positive for the club.
if that is not a youth policy I really don't know what is.
The first team is shall we say 'experienced' but there is still an element of youth e.g Ryan Oakley Remy gordan Matt Daniels Ross Durrant Ben jones Ross gilfedder all early 20's or teens.
They also work in partnership with old catton jnrs, which is new this year, not sure what the agreement is but this seems to be a step into the right direction in terms of a youth system.
It takes no genius to find all this info out. If you were really interested in the club you would have known this.
Or perhaps I'm wrong...?

Ah I thought you meant the county youth cup winning side as you said Southgate at the end of your post.
Jamie George was in that team and Liam Baker.

And being named on the bench for the 1st team just because they are short of numbers, doesn't count. I'm talking about being selected to play. Ben Jones for example. Ali and Jamie and Liams names along with Rio unfortunately only ever appear when numbers available for the 1st team are low. Fact. and i know this cos i follow Wroxham
