the yachtsman mad the long trip to harwich looking to improve their points tally of late, the team started from Howie, Pauling, Howsy, Challen, Macca, Lemmon, White, Spriggs, Gilmore, Paynter, and Cook.
with a strong bench of Carus, Simmo, Daniels, King,
the opening min utes on the very hard un even pitch belonged to the visitors, quality balls from Howe's, andthe darting diagonal runs of Spriggs, was causing mayhem in the home defence, but we were not getting shots on target, there were easy chances for cook, Paynter, and Spriggs, but we could not find the onion sack !!!, we had all the play, with Howie a virtual spectator , but were lacking the finished article. The break through came on twenty five minutes, Howe's took a quality corner, ( that left foot is lethal), and it ended up in the net, a;though Macca tried to claim that it came off of the second strand of his three hairs!! the goal was awarded to Howsy,
the first half finished with the visitors still on top.
the second half saw some changes to the home side, and they seem to come more in to the game, but not enough to make Howie break in to a sweat, thier best player ( no 2) was very good from set plays, hitting one free kick just over the bar, however, the lads increased the lead on 65 minutes , when that man Howe's sent a ball in the the channel, which Paynter chased , and always looked second best to get, yet he managed to nick it off the player, round the on coming keeper, and slot home from an acute angle.King replaces Paynter, Simmo replace lemmon, and Daniels replaced the lively Spriggs, although their were further chances for White, and Gilmore the score remained at 2=0.
well done lads , not an easy place to come to, just got to carry on the consistency in to the next games
